Blackberries!

As I still try to "run," I've had more time to enjoy my surroundings. That being said, the 3-mile loop near our house is overgrown with wild blackberries. I've stopped on several runs to eat them - for an energy boost (who needs power gels or sports beans?). Jason and I hurried home today and spent an hour picking the berries. We filled up two large bags of them - and they are so yummy! We haven't even put a dent in what's out there, so Maria may join us next time. You can't really tell from the picture, but in addition to the awkwardness of walking with 15 extra pounds on my stomach, I accidentally only brought two right shoes for our hike. I can't say I've ever done that before...

You've got mail!

Prior to the pregnancy, I don't think we remember getting this many packages in the mail. It feels like our birthday every day! "Grandma Joyce" sent us these swimming trunks for next summer.

NYC - here we come...

After an exciting week with Jason's Swedish friends Andreas and Jenny and quick overnight stay with Hugh and Joanne Roberson, we are packing our bags for a night in the city. My college friend is getting married in NYC, so we are going to make a night out of it up there. I thought I could fit into a dress that I bought too big last year and was able to wear to my cousin's wedding in May. I was really wrong, so my sister Maria came to my rescue. Maria is a wonderful girl, but I think one of the coolest things about her living so close is the easy access to her wardrobe. :) Her closet is full of cute clothes made of stretchy materials making it easier to squeeze my belly into them.
